Description
Rest Between Flights
7.5″ x 9.5″ graphite on paper
Original drawing by Pamela Watson
In Rest Between Flights, Pamela Watson captures the quiet resilience of a weathered raven—standing firm, gazing forward, and momentarily still. Though some of his feathers are ruffled and worn, his presence remains bold and determined, as if gathering strength before taking to the skies once more. Inspired by a chance encounter during a family trip to the Grand Canyon, this graphite drawing is both intimate and symbolic. Ravens and crows, ever-watchful companions in the artist’s life, appear often in her work—mysterious, grounded, and always on the edge of flight.
