Marshall Covered Bridge
24” x 18” • Acrylic on Paper • Signed Pamela Watson (2019)
Painted in 2019 as part of Pamela Watson’s Covered Bridge Project, Marshall Covered Bridge captures the quiet beauty of an early morning in rural Indiana. This 24” x 18” acrylic on paper features the classic red bridge with crisp white trim, standing in bold contrast to the lush greens of the surrounding trees, riverbank, and gently curving creek below.
The sky glows softly with a pink morning hue, suggesting the moment just before the day fully awakens. The calm stillness of the scene—paired with the strong architectural form of the bridge—offers a sense of nostalgia, place, and connection to the land.
This piece was part of an ongoing series that began in August 2019 and was briefly put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It stands as both a celebration of Indiana’s historic covered bridges and a marker of a time when the world paused.
A meaningful addition for collectors who appreciate Americana, rural scenery, and acrylic landscapes with a strong sense of place and story.
