Impressions of Bluffton
20” x 16” Oil on Board | Signed Pamela Watson
Painted en plein air near the Arts, Commerce, and Visitors Center in Bluffton, Indiana, Impressions of Bluffton is a personal favorite of the artist’s body of work. Created with bold strokes and a palette knife, this 20” x 16” oil painting captures the quiet beauty of an arched bridge reflected in the river below.
Rendered in an impressionistic style, the textures and layers give the scene a sense of movement and atmosphere—inviting viewers into the warmth of a summer day by the water. The painting was completed during a plein air session with the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association (IPAPA), a group known for its dedication to capturing the spirit of Indiana’s landscapes.
