Dundurn Glimpse
Original Watercolor on Paper | 14” x 11” | Painted June 2025 | Signed Pamela Watson
Painted during the Hamilton Plein Air Festival in Ontario, Canada, Dundurn Glimpse captures a quiet, atmospheric moment on the historic grounds of Dundurn Castle. Rather than depicting the full grandeur of the estate, artist Pamela Watson chose a more intimate perspective—just a peek of the castle’s spire rising behind a fence, framed by lush foliage and summer bloom.
Completed on June 7, 2025, this 14” x 11” watercolor reflects a thoughtful wander through the property, culminating in a composition that feels both grounded and enchanted. The variety of trees, wildflowers, and tangled greens create a natural vignette that draws the viewer gently toward the architecture beyond.
Impressionistic and serene, Dundurn Glimpse celebrates the beauty of what’s half-seen and the joy of discovering elegance in the edges of a historic site.
