Painted during a quiet lunch break while substitute teaching, Desk Ducks captures a whimsical moment of lighthearted inspiration. A group of miniature resin ducks—perched on a fellow teacher’s desk—caught Pamela’s eye and quickly became the subject of this charming 4″ x 4″ watercolor and ink painting.

These tiny trinkets are more than just desk décor. The artist first encountered them years ago in an office where they were part of a mental health initiative—hidden in plain sight to spark joy and offer a small surprise smile to those who found them. Now, with a growing personal collection, Pamela hints that more duck-themed delights may find their way into future paintings.
