Darlington Covered Bridge is the 11th painting in Pamela S. Watson’s ongoing series capturing Indiana’s historic covered bridges. Created in acrylic on watercolor paper, this piece offers a deeply personal view of the white bridge just outside Darlington—one the artist fondly remembers passing on bike rides as a young girl.

The painting reflects the very scene Pamela would see as she rounded the corner heading home: the brilliant white bridge glowing against a backdrop of vivid greens and a bright blue sky. Trees line both sides of the creek, their colors mirrored in the gently flowing water below. The calm reflections of sky, bridge, and foliage create a peaceful, immersive atmosphere.
