Creekside at Strawberry Hill
Original Watercolor & Ink | 9” x 12” | Painted March 2024
Painted on a cold, damp March day at Strawberry Hill Farm, Creekside at Strawberry Hill captures the quiet beauty of early spring. This 9” x 12” watercolor and ink piece was created during Pamela Turnbow’s second outing with the Baltimore Art Club, nestled down by the creek for shelter from the wind.
The flowing movement of the water brings the scene to life, while a soft, mysterious purple in the background adds atmospheric depth. Though the weather was less than ideal, the moment was full of calm and creative focus — perfectly reflected in the layered brushwork and delicate ink detailing.
Creekside at Strawberry Hill is a celebration of stillness, shelter, and the quiet energy of the natural world — a thoughtful addition to any collection of plein air or seasonal landscape art.
