After the Harvest
Original Oil on Board | 20” x 16” | Signed Pamela Turnbow
After the Harvest was created during a season when Pamela Turnbow was focused on painting larger plein air works in oil. Painted north of Fort Wayne, Indiana, this 20” x 16” piece came to life alongside a small circle of fellow artists who gathered informally during the week to paint and share inspiration.
The composition leads the viewer gently through the scene along a soft S-curve—the graceful path of harvested bean rows carving through the field. Impressionistic brushwork in warm oranges, earthy greens, and subtle purples creates a nostalgic softness, evoking the lingering warmth of autumn and the quiet satisfaction of work completed.
With its balanced movement, rich palette, and atmospheric charm, After the Harvest captures both a moment in the landscape and in the artist’s journey—making it a meaningful addition for collectors who appreciate plein air painting that speaks of season, place, and presence.
