Munford Farm Residents
14” x 10” • Oil on Board • Signed Pamela Turnbow
Munford Farm Residents is a warm and expressive plein air painting featuring three sheep nestled beside a dark farm shed. One lies resting, another stands alert, and a third lingers quietly in the background—all loosely painted in soft, natural tones that glow against the rich, shadowy backdrop.
Created during the First Brush of Spring paint-out near New Harmony, Indiana, this 14” x 10” oil on board was painted on location at the Munford family farm, alongside fellow artist Kendra Glasser. The event, sponsored by IPAPA and the Hoosier Salon, celebrates the tradition of painting directly from life—and this piece beautifully captures the peaceful rhythm of rural farm life.
The sheep, both calm and curious, become the heart of the scene—offering a quiet charm that draws the viewer in. Their presence, set against the textured darkness of the shed, speaks to both the simplicity and the richness of farm living.
Perfect for collectors who appreciate plein air work, animal portraiture, and the pastoral beauty of the Midwest.
