This painting was created during the artist’s time in the Master of Arts program at the University of St. Francis as part of a project exploring the emotional and psychological toll experienced by children who have been trafficked. For Pamela Watson, the inclusion of a sheep is deeply personal—raising sheep as a child became a quiet act of survival, a way to preserve a sense of peace and control amidst early trauma.
